Diwali Celebration at White House

The festivities were taken to a whole new level this Diwali as the White House, at the behest of the President and the First lady, hosted the largest Diwali celebration till date, ever since the establishment began to celebrate the festival of lights under the Bush administration.

Morover, just across the Atlantic, India shines brighter still this year, as Rishi Sunak stands to form the government as the Prime minister of the United Kingdom, en route to becoming the first person of colour, the first Asian, but most importantly, the first Indian in history to hold the position.

Additionally, Dr. S. Jaishankar, our esteemed Minister of External Affairs, made a fortifying statement which has reassured the UN as well as the global population, that India always has, and always will strive to move forward and tackle all national and global issues that fall in it’s path, by progressive dialogue and diplomacy, reminding the world of her paramount importance on the surface of the globe. This only serves to prove that we as Indians, are more than capable of taking our lights of knowledge, wisdom and good will, across the divisions of national borders and oceans alike.
